Bedtime

I finally pulled out my camera today and dusted it off.

Andrew fell asleep an hour before bedtime. I can't wait to see him at 5 a.m. tomorrow.

Stomach Flu

We have nearly all been blessed with a case of stomach flu this week. Blech. I won't go into any more details. I'm just waiting for Matthew's school to call me and tell me to come pick him up when he comes down with it, too. So far, he's been the only one to be totally unaffected. On the upside, it's been nice having my husband home. Even if we can't bear to get out of bed or off the couch.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

So, I just thought I'd let everyone know, our heater came on last night. That means it's cold out. Maggie told me yesterday that it was freezing outside and asked if it was cold enough to snow. I had to say, "No Maggie it's 55 degrees out. It has to get down to 32 to snow." She was disappointed. It sure felt cold enough to snow to her.

And if it's any consolation to those of you outside Florida, we don't have a real furnace, so it doesn't work that well. And Matthew still doesn't have enough long pants to make it through the week.

Loose Tooth

We have another loose tooth in the family. Only this time it's Matthew's! He's not really old enough to be losing teeth yet. Last week he was jumping on the trampoline ( I really have a love/hate relationship with that thing). I was right next to him when he tried to do a flip and he ended up banging his tooth on his knee. It took him forever to calm down (with Daddy's help). Of course all the dentist's offices were closed, so I shoved the tooth back into place and assured him that just closing his lips would do much better than a band-aid to stop the bleeding from his gums. Well, today I finally took him into the dentist for some x-rays. When the dentist looked at the films he winced. Then he showed me what I was looking at. Matthew managed to break his front tooth. For now the gums are still holding it in. Hopefully, they'll heal up and hold onto that tooth for a couple more years. But looking at that poor little tooth, I'm not so hopeful. We may have a little boy who wants nothing more than a front tooth for the next few Christmases.
